 About the CCCC

Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference, to which our church belongs.  If you have further questions, there is a link to the CCCC web site at the bottom of the page.

WHAT IS "CONSERVATIVE CONGREGATIONAL CHRISTIAN CONFERENCE"?

The CCCC is an evangelical fellowship of ministers and congregationally governed churches, committed to Biblical Christian unity. We are united by a common relationship with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, a commitment to God's Word, a love for each other, and a desire to reach people with the good news of Christ.

WHAT ARE THE CCCC CORE VALUES?

1.  Delight in God's Glory

2.  Love for the entire Body of Christ

3.  Commitment to Truth and Obedience

4.  Passion for the Lost

5.  Congregational Polity with an emphasis on the Lordship of Christ

6.  Christian Unity with Diversity

WHAT DOES THE CCCC BELIEVE?

The CCCC Statement of Faith is as follows:

1.  We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God written.

2.  We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3.  We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4.  We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

5.  We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in this present evil world.

6.  We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

7.  We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ.

HOW IS THE CCCC CONNECTED TO THE WIDER CHURCH?

In the U.S. the CCCC is connected to the National Association of Evangelicals (NAB).

Internationally the CCCC is part of the World Evangelical Congregational Fellowship

(WECF), an association of evangelical congregational bodies in 15 nations.

IS THE CCCC GROWING, DECLINING, OR REMAINING STATIC?

The ministry of the CCCC is growing in these ways:

(1) Church Planting: The CCCC has encouraged and supported several church plants. Gifts to the CCCC Church Multiplication Fund are used for church planting. This year the CCCC was blessed with a significant gift to establish the Phillips Church Fund, with the primary focus of that gift to be used for "Outreach and Church Planting".

(2) Church and Ministers' Applications: This year several churches in various parts of our country have voted to join us. We have also seen a steady stream of applications from ministry applicants. Gifts to our Scholarship Fund are being used to assist students under Conference Care as they prepare for future service in the Kingdom of our Lord.

(3) Church Growth: While all of our churches are not growing numerically now, many are, and increasingly our churches are gaining a renewed vision for reaching out to their communities with the good news of Jesus Christ.

(4) Conference Ministry Growth: This year, by the grace of God, we hope to increase our national staff, to increase the effectiveness of our ministry together. We also expect to relocate to expanded office facilities within the St. Paul, Minnesota area.

WHAT ABOUT THE CCCC AND MISSIONS?

The CCCC does not have its own Missions-Sending agency, but we have over 100 member ministers serving as missionaries throughout the world, working with various faith-based Missions agencies. We encourage our member churches to come alongside one or more CCCC member missionary with financial and prayer support. The CCCC sponsors several short-term Missions trips each year. In addition the CCCC continues an important ministry partnership with brothers and sisters in Micronesia.

WHAT IS OUR VISION?

Our vision is "Honoring Jesus Christ Together"!  How do we aim to do that? Through:

1. Commitment to Christ

(Honoring Jesus Christ Together by Loving God in holiness)

2. Connection with One Another

(Honoring Jesus Christ Together by Connecting with One Another in Love)

3. Cooperation with Each Other

(honoring Jesus Christ by Assisting One Another in Ministry)

4. Completion of the Works God has for Us to Do

(Honoring Jesus Christ by Expanding His Kingdom Together)

WHAT ABOUT CCCC FINANCES?

As with all of our local churches, the finances of the CCCC depend upon the faithful giving of its members. Thus far this year our budgeted expenses have exceeded our income. Thank you for your prayers and financial help in the work of our Conference!
